Local
Touring

Advantage Tennis offers players the opportunity to travel to local and national TSA tournaments. Players from u10 through to u18 and open can participate in these tournaments. Tournaments range from entry level mini-series, grand prix and then S8 category which are played in most major cities. We love to watch our players compete but also feel it is necessary for them to develop without always having a coach to encourage them. The national junior championships are generally played in Bloemfontein.

We run a yearly tour to Bloemfontein for the S8 and national championships. We also travel to Durban, East London, Port Elizabeth, Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Benoni for the S8 tournaments. With these tournaments costing is done per tour depending on numbers. Many of our parents travel with their children to these tournaments which doesn’t always make a tour feasible. Please approach us to discuss any tours you would like us to initiate.

International
Touring

Advantage Tennis offers players the opportunity to travel to u12, u14, u16 Tennis Europe tournaments, to local and international junior ITF u18 tournaments as well as Futures for those looking to break into the WTA and ATP circuits. Over the years Advantage Tennis has travelled with players to Cyprus, USA, Malaysia, Thailand, China, Australia, Belgium, Germany, Israel, Botswana and Zimbabwe to gain international experience.

Our aim is to develop a pathway for players to gain exposure to different surfaces and environments as well as gain experience competing against international juniors at an u12/14 age. From u15 players would play the local ITF tournaments beginning with Grade 5 and 4 strength and working their way towards Grade 3, 2 and 1 (A) playing locally and internationally.

Tours would generally be 2-3 tournaments at a time to allow players to recover and train in order to consolidate all they have learnt at the various tournaments.

The tours include warm-ups, match analysis, practice sessions and matches, physical maintenance and conditioning.

Players usually cover the coaches travel expenses, accommodation costs, tennis balls and a portion towards meal costs. Advantage tennis looks to make touring as affordable as possible as we understand the huge cost involved in developing players. For players training with Advantage Tennis discounts and options can be discussed. As much as we instill a vision in our players to dream big and work towards achieving these goals, we are looking to attract players to Advantage Tennis who already have this desire instilled in them and we will always go the extra mile for these players.

We are happy to negotiate an agreeable rate for players looking for an extensive touring contract. International players are welcome to discuss tournament destinations to their specific needs.
